The fighters are weighed in and GLORY: Collision is official. Saturday, December 10, GLORY holds their biggest event to date. The pay-per-view event features a Heavyweight superfight between current champion Rico Verhoeven and the infamous Badr Hari. The event takes place at the König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.
4 years younger, Verhoeven has won 10 of his last 11 including five straight defenses of his title inside the GLORY ring. After winning the title from Daniel Ghita at GLORY 17 Verhoeven has gone on to defeat Errol Zimmerman, Benjamin Adegbuyi on two occasions, Mladen Bretovac, and Anderson “Braddock” Silva. The most recent victory over Silva coming at GLORY 33 on September 9th.
Hari comes into the fight on a five fight win streak including four stoppages. The sport’s bad boy holds more than 100 career kickboxing victories with over 90% of those coming via knockout.
